Sania Saeed

Sania started her career at a very early age. At 10, she became a part of a theatre group called Dastak Theatre working with her parents. After working in theatre for a while, her interest in acting developed gradually and she entered television. The play that became her identity was 'Aahat' written by Haseena Moin and directed by Saira Kazmi. Another character that gained her a lot of recognition was in drama serial 'Sitara Aur Mehr-un-Nisa' written by none other than Anwar Maqsood. She also did a talk show by the name of 'Maa' which became very popular in which she traveled across the country, met a number of mothers and paid tribute to them for the way they battled against the tough times in their lives with strength and perseverance. Sania is married to writer-director Shahid Shafaat and together they run a theatre group called Katha which was formed with the objective of performing issue based theatre.
