Dr. Faisal Bari is the Director and Senior Research Fellow at IDEAS and an Associate Professor of Economics at LUMS. He served as the Deputy Country Director for Pakistan with the Central Eurasia Project, and education economist for South Asia at the Open Society Foundation. Dr. Bari has over twelve years research experience in the field of industrial economics, development economics and education economics. He is currently also a Visiting Research Fellow at Mahbub ul Haq Human Development Centre where he is involved in a 5 year four-country education sector research project in collaboration with researchers from Universities of Cambridge, Oxford, and Edinburgh, and from India, Ghana and Kenya. He is also a columnist for the English daily, The Nation.

He worka with the leading civil society organizations of the country looking after the behavior change communication parts of their community based endeavors and develop, in consultation with program staff, puppet plays for communities.
